Dear Parents/Caregivers and Students,
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope that you all had a wonderful summer. I am very pleased to welcome back over 500 students and their families to our school community. We also want to welcome all new students and families to our community. Our teachers and staff are working hard to make this the best year yet.
For those students who are new to the school community, and as a reminder to all other students, the following is a brief list of ways to make sure you are on the road to success each day:
Arrive to school on time. Students may be dropped off at 7:15 and classes start promptly at 7:35 a.m.
Eat breakfast each morning. Breakfast is offered in the cafeteria, free of charge, each school day beginning at 7:15 a.m. Lunch is free for all students, too. Nutrition is extremely important for learning and growth.
Come prepared. Teachers will provide a list of supplies necessary for each class and a general supply list is posted on the school’s website. All students are provided with individual Chromebooks to use.
Students are not allowed to use cellphones at school. If you need to reach your child at any point during the school day, please call the school at 318-697-4338.
Get involved! LHS has many opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom. All students are encouraged to join a club, student government, sports team or after-school activity.
