Welcome back, Tiger Nation, to an exciting new school year! I'm thrilled to greet both our returning students and families and those who are new to our community. As your principal, I'm dedicated to the success of every single student. Our mission at LHS is to make a difference by teaching students to strive for excellence, serve others, and become positive leaders in our community. We can't achieve this alone. Your partnership and involvement are essential this year, and together, we can ensure a rewarding and successful experience for all our students. Tiger Stadium to be Named: Dale Morvan Field at Tiger Stadium
It was unanimously voted on by the DeSoto Parish School Board to rename the Logansport High School Football Field to be officially named Dale Morvan Field at Tiger Stadium.
Dale Morvan began his head coaching career at Logansport High School in 1978. He held this title for 20 consecutive seasons and compiled an overall record of 153 wins, 75 losses and 2 ties for an overall winning percentage of 67.
During his 20 year tenure, he was
• District champion 5 times
• District coach of the year 5 times
• All Area Coach of the Year Twice
• Class A All State Coach of year in 1995
• Made the Playoffs 15 out of 20 years
• Bi District Finalist 6 times
• Regional Finalist 4 times
• Quarterfinalist Once
• Semi-Finalist 3 times
• 1995 State Champions
• Member of the 1995 Football All Star Game Coaching Staff
• Member of the 1996 Gerry Dinardo LSU Football Clinic Coaching Staff
In addition to football, Coach Morvan also won a girls basketball state championship in 1977.
He has also served as the Logansport District 7 School Board Member since 2015. During this time he has orchestrated multiple bond passages that have totaled over $35 Million dollars in school and athletic improvements.

It's time to officially kickoff LHS Football with our annual Meet The Tigers followed by Battle on The Border.

DeSoto Parish 4H Open House
It is time to sign up for 4H for the 2025-2026 school year. Please take advantage of signing up at the annual 4H Open House on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 2pm-4pm at the Dave Means Memorial 4H Center. This will also be the time to sign up for projects such as Cooking Club, Shooting Sports and many others.
We will have signups at school this year - keep an eye on our website and facebook page for that information.

All campuses in DeSoto Parish use JCampus for student information and progress. Parents are able to download the JCampus Student mobile app to their device for easy access to check student progress. Schools will be releasing schedules and other information the week of August 5 in the student portal, but you can set up access to JCampus Mobile now, learn more on the new page!
