Portrait of a Graduate: Global Communicator, Mr. Jacque Burton
Jacque Burton enjoys a celebratory lunch with Principal Thomas at Billy B’s, recognizing his achievement as Mansfield High School’s February Portrait of a Graduate honoree. |

As we enter the week of March 9, Mansfield High School stands at a vital intersection of achievement and preparation. We are officially in the home stretch of the spring season, and our focus this week is twofold: sustaining academic rigor and preparing our students for peak performance.
With Proficiency Exams concluding, the ACT testing window represents the next key step for our students. The ACT serves as an important measure of college and career readiness, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate the academic growth they have developed throughout the year.
In honor of National Nutrition Month, we are reminding our scholars that great performance begins with proper fuel. Strong nutrition supports focus, clear thinking, and endurance. As students prepare for the ACT and Danceline tryouts, we encourage them to take care of their minds and bodies.
With Friday, March 13, marking the end of the third nine weeks, this week represents an important moment in the academic quarter. As students move toward these milestones, Mansfield High School remains focused on supporting their continued growth and success. The work happening in classrooms each day plays an important role in helping our students navigate this busy and important time of the year. |

We recently highlighted Jacque Burton, who was recognized as Mansfield High School’s February Portrait of a Graduate honoree. The focus for the month was Critical Thinking—the ability to analyze information, form sound judgments, and make informed decisions.
It is no surprise that Jacques was selected for demonstrating this characteristic. He recently exemplified strong critical thinking and leadership on a national stage. Alongside Yuxi Zheng, Jacque represented Mansfield High School with excellence at the JAG National Student Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C. Wolverines continue forward—nourished, informed, and committed to excellence. 💚🍎 |

| Wolverine Family,
As we move through the month of March, Mansfield High School remains focused on helping our students perform at their very best—both academically and personally. This week is especially important as our students prepare for ACT testing across multiple grade levels, a key opportunity for them to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout the year.
March is also National Nutrition Month, which reminds us that strong performance in the classroom begins with taking care of the whole student. Proper nutrition, rest, and preparation play an important role in helping students stay focused, think clearly, and perform with confidence during important academic moments like the ACT.
As we approach the end of the third nine weeks, we encourage our students to stay organized, remain engaged in their coursework, and communicate with their teachers to ensure a strong finish to the quarter. Your support at home continues to make a meaningful difference. By encouraging healthy routines, consistent attendance, and focused study habits, you help our Wolverines approach each challenge prepared and confident. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting Mansfield High School. "United together, We win." -Christopher Thomas |
