MHS Secures Historic District Title as DeSoto Parish Continues Dominant Season

🏆Mansfield Wolverines Football Momentum Continues

The Mansfield Wolverines enter the postseason with strong momentum and an 8–2 finish, securing the No. 8 seed in the Non-Select Division III playoffs. Mansfield will host No. 25 Winnfield in the first round.

This season turned around after an unforgettable opener in which Mansfield rallied to defeat Minden despite trailing 35–0. Following a 2–2 start, the Wolverines did not lose again, averaging 41 points per game over their final six contests.

Head Coach Darrell Barbay credits the continued growth of Mansfield’s athletes and consistent backing from district leadership:

“DeSoto Parish has gone above and beyond compared to the rest of the state. Our Superintendent and our board are awesome for us.”

As the Wolverines prepare for their home playoff run, community support and student pride remain high. Fans are encouraged to pack the stands and continue pushing Mansfield forward during this historic season.
