All students are expected to follow our Little Griffin S.O.A.R. Behavior Expectations. The "O" in S.O.A.R. stands for "on task students". We teach students to stay on task in their classrooms by following teacher directions and completing their work as instructed. Students can also stay on task anywhere at school. When walking in line, students should stay on task by paying attention, staying with their class, and not touching the art on the walls in the hallway. Being on task in the bathroom means using the bathroom, flushing the toilet, washing their hands, and throwing their paper towels in the trash can. Being on task in the cafeteria means eating lunch first and cleaning their area when finished before talking quietly with their neighbor. At NDLE, we understand that our young students need to practice staying on task with lots of verbal reminders from the adults on campus. This is a skill that can serve them well throughout their school years.
