NDHS Griffin Football is Going to State! |
To uphold our values of High Performance and Small Town Vibe, all North DeSoto Schools will conduct a virtual instructional day on Thursday, December 11th, and there will be no school for all ND students on Friday, December 12th. These adjustments will support travel needs as North DeSoto competes for the State Championship in football at noon on Friday, December 12th. All other DeSoto Parish schools will follow the regular school calendar and remain in attendance on December 11th and 12th.
To ensure balanced instructional minutes across the district, North DeSoto Schools will be open on Friday, December 19th. All other schools in DeSoto Parish will be out. Only North DeSoto campuses (Staff & Students) will be in attendance on Friday, December 19th.
Thanks,
Russell A. Tabor Principal North DeSoto Lower Elementary

We have noticed lots of parents who are arriving to school earlier and also a reduction in tardies. However, today there was still a big gap in the line at 7:10. We would like to encourage you to drop off here first. |
If you have some feedback about carline or any other part of our North DeSoto school system, you can include it in the survey link below. The survey will be open until December 14. District leadership will use the surveys to plan future development for our DeSoto Parish schools.

December's Habit 4: Think Win-Win—Helping Students Build Healthy Relationships
Habit 4 teaches students to look for fair, caring solutions where everyone feels included and respected. It’s not about giving in or letting others always have their way—it’s about finding choices that help both sides succeed.
At school, students use Habit 4 when they:
Solve small conflicts by talking it out and looking for a compromise
Share materials or take turns during games or centers
Include others in conversations, group work, or play
Celebrate classmates’ achievements without feeling like they lose
You can help your child practice Habit 4 at home with simple moments like:
Asking, “How can we fix this in a way that works for both of us?”
Encouraging siblings to brainstorm fair solutions when they disagree
Letting your child help make decisions, like choosing a family movie everyone enjoys
When students learn to “Think Win-Win,” they develop stronger friendships, better communication skills, and a positive mindset that helps them thrive at school and at home.
