Time to Buy a 2026 NDLE Yearbook |
Flyers will be coming home in student folders with a QR code and details about purchasing yearbooks. All yearbook sales are online. Our yearbooks cost $42 with all fees included. Our yearbooks are made with the company Pictavo and managed through Cowen Photography. Our yearbooks will be distributed to students before the last day of school in May 2026.
Our school receives a portion of the proceeds for yearbook and any Cowen photography picture sales. Essentially yearbooks and picture sales are fundraisers for our school. In order to maximize the school's earnings, we will not be ordering any extra yearbooks to be sold at the end of the year. In other words, if you want a yearbook, order one through the website before March 31. If you need help with ordering or have any questions, please email tara.brawley@desotopsb.com.
You can scan the QR code provided in this post or go to the online store with this link https://www.buytheyearbook.com/en/
Books can be personalized with the student's name for $10. Business or personal ads may also be purchased on the website. Here are the total prices for business or personal ads.
Quarter page ($26.25)
Half page ($52.50)
Whole page ($105)
Parents can design their own ad on the website or you can send the pictures and a message to tara.brawley@desotopsb.com and I will create an ad for you.
All orders and completed ads are due March 31, 2026.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win — Everyone Can Win!
This month, our school is focusing on Habit 4: Think Win-Win. At its heart, this habit is the belief that everyone can succeed. It’s not about you versus me; it’s about finding a way for both of us to be happy.
What Does "Think Win-Win" Mean?
Think Win-Win is a mindset of abundance—the belief that there is enough success and happiness to go around for everyone. It requires a balance of two key traits:
Courage: Standing up for what you want and need.
Consideration: Being kind and sensitive to what others want and need.
When a conflict arises, students are encouraged to look for Third Alternatives—solutions that neither person thought of alone, but that make both parties feel like winners.
Practicing Think Win-Win at Home
You can help reinforce this habit by trying these simple activities with your child:
The "Golden Rule": Discuss how treating others the way you want to be treated is the foundation of a Win-Win attitude.
Sibling Disputes: Instead of acting as the judge, encourage your children to brainstorm their own solutions. Ask them, "How can we make this a win for both of you?".
Family Games: While games have winners and losers, emphasize that the relationship is what matters most. Enjoying the time together is the true Win-Win.
"Caught Being Win-Win": Create a chart to recognize family members when they are "caught" looking for a mutual solution or showing happiness for someone else’s success.
