First Grade Service Project

Our first grade students had the idea to collect items to the victims of the California Wildfires. Here is the list of items needed.

All items can be turned into your child’s homeroom teacher by January 31st. If any families or businesses would like to make a donation for shipping costs, please contact Mrs. Arinder at stephanie.arinder@desotopsb.com or call the office at 925-2383.

PreK Round-Up at NDLE March 6 from 12:00pm-3:00pm

ALL REGISTRATION CAN BE DONE ONLINE beginning February 14, 2025 at desotoreadystart.com

PreK-4 students must be 4 by September 30, 2025 to register.

You will need the following things to upload when you register:

Child’s birth certificate
Child’s social security card
Child’s immunization record
Parent/Guardian’s current driver’s license (address must match bills)
Parent/Guardian’s electric bill (service address correct)
Parent/Guardian’s 2nd bill (water, gas, cable, satellite-same address)
Last 2 check stubs for all adults in the household (if no Medicaid/SNAP)
Print and sign “Attendance Agreement” from desotoreadystart.com

ALL OF THESE DOCUMENTS MUST BE UPLOADED IN THE PORTAL. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL (EMAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE IN THE PORTAL) PRIOR TO ROUNDUP IF YOUR CHILD IS COMPLETE. Should you suspect that your child has developmental delays or you need an interpreter, please contact Tina Anderson prior to the Roundup at your child’s school.

Area child care centers will be onsite at Roundup for other opportunities available for your child.

If you have a foster child, please contact Tina Anderson. We have a place for your child.

Book Fair will be here Feb. 7-14

Students will shop on their Library/STREAM day. Parents are welcome to shop with their students during their Library/STREAM time. The Book Fair will also be open for Grandparents Day on Friday Feb. 14 until noon. You can send cash with your child, pay with a card if you come to shop with your child, or set up an e-wallet for your child by scanning the QR code on the flyer.

Friday, Jan. 31 - pepperoni pocket, seasoned corn, carrot sticks, chilled peaches, milk

Monday, Feb. 3 - chicken sandwich, french fries, salad, pears, milk

No school for students on the following dates:

Class DOJO is an app to download to view your child's behavior at school. If you have questions about behavior, ask your teacher through ROOMS.
We only accept cash for any kind of money collection at school. Please send the exact amount. All money should be in an envelope or ziplock bag with your child's name, their teacher's name, and what the money is for.
If your child will be going home a different way, please send a dated note to your child's teacher and an email to Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Salter in the office by 12:00 pm. tracy.miller@desotopsb.com or dena.salter@desotopsb.com
Please label all backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, and jackets with your child's first and last name. This will help us return items when they are lost.
