NDLE Family Literacy Night on Tuesday March 4 at 5:30 pm

Come celebrate Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss' Birthday with your NDLE Little Griffin! Reading fun and food trucks! See you on Tuesday at 5:30!
On Friday, March 7, Students may wear a Dr. Seuss themed shirt or costume to school. Please make sure costumes do not hinder your child's abiltity to go to the bathroom independently.

Pre-K Roundup at NDLE on March 6 12:00-3:00

ALL REGISTRATION CAN BE DONE ONLINE beginning February 14, 2025 at desotoreadystart.com

PreK-4 students must be 4 by September 30, 2025 to register.

You will need the following things to upload when you register:

Child’s birth certificate
Child’s social security card
Child’s immunization record
Parent/Guardian’s current driver’s license (address must match bills)
Parent/Guardian’s electric bill (service address correct)
Parent/Guardian’s 2nd bill (water, gas, cable, satellite-same address)
Last 2 check stubs for all adults in the household (if no Medicaid/SNAP)
Print and sign “Attendance Agreement” from desotoreadystart.com

ALL OF THESE DOCUMENTS MUST BE UPLOADED IN THE PORTAL. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL (EMAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE IN THE PORTAL) PRIOR TO ROUNDUP IF YOUR CHILD IS COMPLETE. Should you suspect that your child has developmental delays or you need an interpreter, please contact Tina Anderson prior to the Roundup at your child’s school.

NDHS Beta Club Service Project

Good Afternoon,
My name is River Vann, and I am a member of the Beta Club at North DeSoto High School. From March 3rd to March 25th, we will be hosting a service project called "Birthday Blessings," and we would like to extend an invitation for your school to participate.
The goal of this project is to collect donations for birthday boxes that we will distribute to the Providence Shelter in Shreveport. These boxes will contain items such as cake mix, birthday candles, tubs of icing, sprinkles, birthday banners, birthday cards, and balloons.
To facilitate the collection process, we will provide a collection box at the office of each participating school. We kindly ask for your support by allowing students to drop off donations as they enter school during this time frame. If necessary, one or more Beta Club members can collect the donations at the end of each week to ensure that the boxes do not overfill.
We greatly appreciate your consideration in participating in this meaningful project. Yearbook sales are slow. I would like to know why. Our minimum school purchase for yearbooks is 250, which is roughly 50% of our students. We are not even close to meeting that goal.
