ATTENTION Parents

There has been an update to our newsletter program that I use to create our Monday Memo. I have not figured out how to add pictures in our newsletter yet so please check our Facebook page for AR pictures, Reading Log pictures, and event pictures from this week and last week. Also, remember to check Rooms because many of our teachers send pictures in Rooms throughout the week. Hopefully, I will have things figured out for next week's Monday Memo. I added the Donuts with Dad pictures before the update so they made it in. ---Mrs. Brawley

Car Drop Off Reminders

NDLE's only drop off entrance is Entrance #1, North of North DeSoto Upper Elementary. Morning Carpool begins at 7:05 a.m. Please make sure your child is ready to get out when you pull all the way forward in the drop-off line. Carpool drop-off ends at 7:35 a.m.

For your child's safety, do not drop them off once duty teachers go inside. After that time, please park and walk your child in through the cafeteria to check them in. Students are considered tardy after 7:40 a.m. We want to be sure that every student is safe and supervised.

Thank you for helping us keep mornings safe and smooth.

Leader In Me

Habit 3: Put First Things First
“Work first, then play.”

Habit 3 teaches students to prioritize what matters most—to focus on the important things before the fun or less urgent ones. In child-friendly terms, it means doing your “big rocks” first—like homework, chores, and kindness—before screen time or play.

At school, students learn how to manage their time, set goals, and make responsible choices that lead to success. At home, families can support this habit by:

Talking about what’s most important each day.

Making a simple to-do list together.

Encouraging children to finish responsibilities before playtime.

Celebrating when they follow through on their priorities!

When kids learn to “put first things first,” they develop responsibility, self-discipline, and confidence—the building blocks for leadership at school and in life.
