NDMS Families- 

Let’s talk about Zearn this week for NDMS! Zearn is an online platform we are using in DeSoto Parish to accelerate students’ math skills and help prepare them for mastery. Each student has a Zearn Math goal of completing 3 lessons per week. Students are given time during the school day to work on Zearn, but they can also log in at home to continue their progress and show you what they’ve accomplished. The Zearn app allows families to easily view weekly progress, celebrate growth, and encourage persistence.

We ask that you take a few minutes this week to sit down with your student, look at their Zearn progress together, and highlight their successes. Over the course of the year, each student’s goal is to complete 90 lessons within the Zearn platform which helps build strong math skills and confidence.

We want to give a shout out to our 7th grade students! They were recognized at our recent board meeting for having the highest percentage of students on track to complete 90+ grade-level lessons across the entire parish. We are so proud of their hard work and commitment!
