NDMS Families,
As we recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we take time to honor Dr. King’s legacy and his commitment to service, equality, and doing what is right (even when it is not easy). This day reminds us of the importance of kindness, respect, perseverance, and working together to make our school and community stronger. We encourage families to remember Dr. King’s message and how we can live out those values each day.
As we head into a new week, we are asking families to focus on three important areas that can make a big difference for student success. Your partnership truly matters. 1️⃣ Attendance Matters
Let’s aim for four full days this week with no absences, no checking in or out, and arriving on time each day. Being present and punctual helps students stay connected and confident in their learning. 2️⃣ Zearn Math Progress
Please take a few minutes this week to talk with your child about Zearn. Each student’s weekly goal is to complete 3 lessons by Friday. Students can show you their progress right in the app—celebrate their effort and success! 3️⃣ Check in on Grades
We are approaching the “halfway to halfway” point of the 3rd nine weeks, making this a great time to discuss grades. Talk with your child about how they are doing, what they’re proud of, and where they may need a little extra focus. Thank you for partnering with us to support our students. As always, I feel blessed to serve this wonderful community and partner with you in educating your child. There is no place like North DeSoto!
~Mrs. Rhoads |
