NDMS Families,

In coordination with the National Weather Service and local partners, all DeSoto Parish Schools and district offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 26 and 27, due to inclement winter weather and its impact on road conditions. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

District leaders will continue to assess conditions and will provide an update regarding school operations for Wednesday, January 28, as they have more information.

Families and staff are encouraged to stay informed by following official district communication channels, including the district website, Facebook page, and text/mobile notifications. Thank you for your continued and support—please stay warm and safe.

Shout out to January 19th's NDMS High Flyers! These students demonstrate hard work and follow school rules. They make good decisions, manage priorities, are kind to others, and exemplify what it means to be a true Griffin! Way to go, Griffins! January's Griffins have the quality of showing excellence;  they are exceptionally good or superior, often exceeding expectations and have a commitment to continuous growth. They also have a high standard of merit. Representing 6th grade are Grace and Landon. 7th grade representatives are Piper and Parker while 8th grade is being represented by Tran and Braxton.
