Dear NDUE Families,
We are just 1 week away from the mid-point of the 3rd 9 weeks. It is crazy how fast this year is moving.
At this time of year, students should be performing near or at their goal level consistently. Remember that all children develop at different rates; we believe this is true for height and athleticism, and it is most certainly true for academics.
We strive for perfect EFFORT daily, not perfection. All of the daily work students complete isn't just something to keep them busy; it's the practice they need to develop their skills. WIN serves as an extra time for students to focus on their weaker subject area. This time teaches all students to persevere and to have a growth mindset. Even the strongest student has room to grow.
Teaching a student that they can change their ability through hard work and perfect effort is the most important lesson they can learn during their school years. Please encourage them to believe that they can and to value progress over perfection. The only person we ever need to compare ourselves to is, in fact, ourselves! We must work hard all the days of our lives to be better today than we were yesterday.
Geaux Griffins!
