Dear NDUE Families,
Spring looks like it's here to stay. This is such a busy & fun time of year. Spring Sports kick off, our PTO hosts the Griffin 5K, and we celebrate students in BIG ways at Leadership Day. Our students are pushing themselves to meet their Goals because all the deadlines for the Spring Incentives for the Year are just around the corner.
A lot is going on, that's for sure, but amidst the FUN of Spring, there is a lot of learning still left to do. We are committed to keeping the MAIN THING, the MAIN THING, here at school.
I encourage you, especially during this season, to stick to our Homework policy of 20 minutes per night. Know that completing the homework sheet and reviewing Fluency/Vocab is great extra practice, but it's not mandatory. The main reason we give homework is to help parents stay up to date on what students are learning in class and to give you guys an entry point to communicate to your child that you value their schoolwork. I encourage you on late nights and amid busy recreational schedules to do what you can, and if you can only get to some of it, let it be the subject your student needs the most extra practice in.
We look forward to enjoying this Spring Season with your family and hope to see you at both Leadership Day and the 5k.
Geaux Griffins!
