LOVE LEARNING, EXCEL IN ALL WE DO, ACHIEVE GOALS TOGETHER, DO WHAT IS RIGHT
Dear NDUE Families,
Our school year is off to a great start. I hope that you have felt welcomed into this new year by our staff, and I encourage you to become involved in our community. Tuesday night, we have Meet the Griffins at 7pm. This is a community pep rally that welcomes in the new school year and highlights ND students, young and old. PTO is always looking for volunteers, and teachers would love for you to reach out for ways to help. Reading the Mission Memo, checking your child's Monday notes, and supporting them in reaching their personal goals is the best way you can partner with us to make your student successful this year. We have upcoming Back to School nights that will provide you with more in depth information on the content your child will learn this year and how you can support them. If you ever need anything or have a concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
We are better together! Geaux Griffins!

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Carline
All am/pm car traffic to NDUE must enter from entrance #6 (behind the lower)
In the morning, families can utilize both lanes regardless of grade.
In the afternoon, 2nd and 3rd grade students load in the RED LANE (1) and 4th, 5th, and Families load in the BLUE LANE (2)
If you do not have your tag, your student is slow to come out, or there is another unforeseen issue, you will be asked to move to the WHITE ERROR lane.
Students can not be pulled from the bus if their transportation was not changed before dismissal. The cut-off time for transportation changes is 2:50. The app will stop accepting parent changes at 1:30.
You must check in on the app. This lets your student know you are here and to get ready. Tag numbers are logged, alerting your student to come out. If you do not check in, your student will be slower to arrive, and you will likely have to make the loop back to the error lane.
Please log in to the Pikmykid app and load your student's schedule. If your child is a bus rider, their daily transportation must be loaded in the app as well. Our staff has been working on this, but we encourage ALL parents to check their students' transportation in the app to ensure that there are no errors. This will also allow you to change transportation from car, bus, daycare bus, and/or YEP. Every day, your child's teacher pulls up the app in the last class period and reminds students of their transportation. You can also add carpool groups and link those who help pick up your student to your account.
Make sure your car tag is visible in the window, and you check in on the app or share your location to be checked in automatically. The app notifies the teacher when you're on campus so your student is ready and waiting, then alerts the teacher to send your student out when you are confirmed in the line by our staff, and finally dismisses your student once they have loaded the car. All of these processes help students get to their car safely AND quickly.
