Elementary Students of the Month - February

Morgan says "See you later!"

Today our halls were filled with love as students and staff lined up to celebrate one of our very special students as she took her final walk through our school. πŸ’™

She has been a bright light in our hallways, and while we will miss seeing her each day, we are so excited for the new adventures ahead.

Our school family wishes her all the happiness, success, and joy in this next chapter. Once a part of our school family, always a part of our school family. πŸ’™

READ Across America Week

Last week, our PreK–5th grade students celebrated Read Across America Week with a week full of fun dress-up days and activities inspired by Dr. Seuss! πŸ“šπŸŽ‰

Students showed their school spirit all week long with themed days including Mixed Up Monday, Top Hat Tuesday, Wacky Socks Wednesday, Theodore Day (dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character) on Thursday, and Funny Food Friday where students wore green!

From silly socks to creative costumes, our hallways were full of imagination, laughter, and a love for reading. We had a wonderful time celebrating books and encouraging our students to keep turning those pages! πŸ“–βœ¨

Tailgate Party!

🐾 What a Night to be a Panther! 🐾

Our first-ever Stanley High School Tailgate Party was an absolute slam-dunk! Seeing our SHS families, alumni, and neighbors come together in the gym parking lot reminded us exactly why Stanley High School is so special.

From the smell of the grill to the sea of Royal Blue, the energy was unmatched. Our cheerleaders stayed busy with some incredible face painting, the snow cones were a hit, and we went through a lot of hot dogs! 🌭🍧

This event was a testament to what happens when a community shows up for its students. Because of the incredible turnout and the smiles we saw across the crowd, we can officially say: This will definitely not be our last one!

πŸ’™ A Heartfelt Thank You

An event like this doesn't happen without a village. We want to send a massive "Thank You" to the sponsors who fueled the fun and kept the food free for our families:

SHS PTO

SHS Cheerleaders

School Board Member Mr. Phillip Palmer

Amy McPhearson

SHS Basketball Booster Club

Coday Johnston

Grace Home Church

RB4 Farms

Thank you, Stanley community, for making our inaugural tailgate one for the history books. We already can’t wait for the next one! 🐾πŸ’ͺ
