SHS Scholars in Action

Mr. Jordan's AG students toured Weyerhaeuser Industry in Natchitoches, LA, where they were able to make connections of topics they are learning in the classroom to real-life work experience in the industry.

Workkeys Platinum

Congratulations to Alyssa Gooden for reaching platinum on ACT Workkeys. Gooden is a junior and reached Platinum her second attempt on the Workkeys assessment. She is one of our eight students rewarded with free dress because of their high achievements, and the only Junior to reach this milestone so far this year!

SHS Spotlight

Congratulations to Daniel Calhoun, Kaylynn Evans, and Keagan Phillips for reading 16 books in the month of October! They are being rewarded with a pizza from Pizza Hut!

IBA Certification

Congratulations to these SHS students for passing their Internet Business Associates certification in Mrs. Davis' class. They will now take Network Technology and Website Design. Once they pass all certifications, they will receive an advanced credential in Website Foundation. Congratulations!

New Teacher of the Month

Congratulations to Dylan Raybon, our high school science teacher, for being named a Desoto Parish New Teacher of the Month for November.

Homecoming Shirts

Homecoming Shirts are on sale! Shirts are $20 and can be printed on your choice of "class colors" (purple, green, blue, red, orange, yellow) or on black.

All orders are due by Nov. 15th. Order forms were sent home, but if another copy is needed, please ask your child's homeroom teacher or get with Mrs. Chamberlin.
