SHS Scholars in Action

Geometry scholars are engaged in studying geometric transformations, exploring how shapes can be altered or manipulated through various processes.

SHS Spotlight

On Monday, December 2, SHS Elementary hosted a Literacy Night in conjunction with the Student-Parent-Teacher Conference. During the event, high school volunteers dressed as beloved book characters and engaged elementary students by reading stories to them as they waited for their individual meetings with teachers. This initiative not only fostered a love for reading but also created an interactive and enjoyable atmosphere, encouraging young students to connect with literature in a fun and memorable way. The collaboration between students, parents, and teachers highlighted the importance of reading and learning within the school community.

Attention Seniors + Senior Parents

TOPS Information

The U.S. Department of Education has revamped the FAFSA application.

The 2025-2026 application will open on or before December 1. Students and families should begin creating and/ or resetting usernames and passwords (FSA IDs) well in advance of the opening date.

● Fill out the 2025-2026 FAFSA application (if you want to apply for the federal Pell grant, federal student loans, the Louisiana GO Grant, and TOPS.)

● Fill out a TOPS application on the LOSFA website (if you want TOPS only).

Scholarship Information

Scholarship information is uploaded regularly to the CoHort 2025 Google Classroom. Please have your seniors check regularly and apply for any scholarships they may qualify for.
