On Friday, February 7th, our Stanley BETA Club members had the privilege of serving at the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank in Mansfield. Our students worked alongside fellow community members to pack and distribute boxes filled with essential food supplies to over 340 residents. It was a day full of hard work, but the blessing was in the serving.
A huge thank you to school board member, Phillip Palmer (District 6), for connecting our club to Higher Ground Ministries, and to school board member, Ronnie Morris (District 9), and his amazing team of volunteers for organizing this monthly event and ongoing effort to help our community!
Our AP English IV scholars are diving deep into short fiction texts using Mind Mapping to analyze key literary elements like irony, characterization, and foreshadowing. This creative strategy helps students visually organize their thoughts and better understand how these elements work together to shape the story. It’s all about connecting the dots for a deeper understanding of literature!
On Friday, February 7th, SHS Elementary enjoyed their Valentines Dance!
On Monday, February 3rd, SHS Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school!
