School Mission Statement

Stanley High School empowers our students to become graduates equipped with the values, confidence and skills to become successful in academics and life.

Recap of Last Week:

Last week we started our 2024-25 school year with a Fun Day in the gym!

Before going to the gym, every student and staff member at Stanley wrote their name on a blue or white strip of paper. Each class put their strips together into a paper chain. Classes brought their paper chains to the gym for the fun day. At the beginning of the fun day, representatives from each class brought their class chain to the court where Mr. Anderson and Mr. Craig connected each class chain into one huge paper chain. We created this huge chain to show that every member of our school, students and staff, are important and have value. We are #BetterTogether and #OneFamilyWorkingTogether.

After building our school chain, we had a friendly game of volleyball, teachers vs high school. Volunteer teachers and students played several games that ended in the teachers winning by 2 points! Great game SHS!

Desoto Parish School system came together for a "Better Together" Convocation on Tuesday, August 6th.

Some of our Panthers participated by performing and/or speaking at the event.

Middle school and high school cheer squads both performed. Sophomore, Emma D., gave the opening prayer, and 4th grader, Avery R., talked about the Positive and Caring Culture at SHS.

The Stanley BETA Club is proud to be named a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Distinction. This award is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others.

The club earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year. This year, only 22% of Beta Clubs across the country received this award.

In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “This national award speaks highly of your commitment to academic excellence and illustrates your dedication to preparing students for their future.”
