Dear NDMS Families,
We are moving into Proficiency Exam Week, and we are excited to see our Griffins put their hard work and learning on display! This is an important week for our students, and we need every student on campus, on time, and ready to show what they know.
These exams are more than just a test. They are an opportunity for students to measure their progress toward their individual goals. Every question gives students a chance to demonstrate what they have learned and how much they have grown. 🎯 Every Goal Matters!
We have been working with students to set goals and understand what they are working toward. When students meet their proficiency goal, they get to celebrate their success by marking off a square on their Griffins on a Mission Tracker! 🏈 Celebrating Our 8th Grade Griffins!
We will also take time this Tuesday night at our game to honor our 8th Grade Band, Cheer, Twirlers, and Football players! These students have worked hard to represent NDMS, and we are excited to celebrate their dedication and contributions to our Griffin family. We hope our families will come out and help us recognize these students and cheer them on! We are proud of the hard work our Griffins have already put in this year. Go Griffins! 💙 ~Mrs. Rhoads |

2026 HoCo is quickly approaching! This year homecoming week is taking us on an unforgettable road trip through Louisiana. We visit Natchitoches Monday, Tuesday we visit Breaux Bridge, New Orleans is Wednesday's stop, while Thursday we visit in Monroe bringing us home to Stonewall Friday. Friday evening our NDHS Griffins take on the Cowboys of SHS. Students are allowed to dress according to the themes shared but please be mindful of DPSB/NDMS dress code. Just a reminder that athletic shorts are not allowed any of our dress days. Also, jeans should be blue and not have rips, holes, or the appearance of rips, holes, tears, or frays.

High Flyers are stellar NDMS students who demonstrates hard work and follows school rules. These students make good decisions, manage priorities, are kind to others, and exemplify what it means to be true Griffins.
September's qualification is DETERMINATION. Students chosen as September High Flyers have the ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult. Congratulations to our September 7th and 14th's HIGH FLYERS!! |
