Dear North DeSoto Upper Elementary Families,
What an exciting time at NDUE! We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Student Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, September 8th. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to take ownership of their learning and proudly share their growth, accomplishments, and goals with you.
From 11:00 AM–1:00 PM, teachers will schedule private conferences based on identified concerns. From 1:00–6:00 PM, we will have Open House-style Student-Led Conferences, so there is no need to schedule an appointment. Please bring your child with you so they can present their Leadership Binder and show you the progress they have made toward their goals. Only students who present their Leadership Binder will receive the incentive ticket for attending SPTC.
We also want to invite our 4th and 5th grade parents to Academic Parent Night on Thursday, September 10th, from 6:00–7:30 PM. You will rotate through your child’s schedule to learn more about academic expectations and ways you can support learning at home. Childcare will be provided, and parents who attend will receive an incentive ticket for their child.
Finally, students have received a Virtual Day paper packet to complete at home. The packet is due Wednesday and will be counted as a graded daily assignment. Students who complete their packet will also receive +5 Dojo points! The activities are review, not new learning, and students should be able to complete them with little to no support.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us and for being an important part of your child’s education. We are so proud of our students and can't wait for them to show you what they have learned!
Enjoy the long weekend & we will see you all Tuesday!
